Alec Johnson
Alec Johnson ist mehr als zufrieden mit seinem Leben. Der Feuerwehrmann kann sich nicht über Langeweile in seinem Alltag beschweren, ist aber auch noch nicht unbedingt darauf auf. Seit mittlerweile 30 Jahren erfreut er jetzt schon die Welt mit seinen mehr oder weniger guten Scherzen, die auch einmal auf seine eigene Kappe gehen können. Mit seinem Geburtstag am 10.10.1990 darf er immer in seiner Lieblingsjahreszeit eine Kerze mehr ausblasen und hat auch kein Problem mit dem Älterwerden. Trotz allem Humor ist er ohnehin schon länger erwachsen als manche andere in seinem Alter, seit 8 Jahren ist Alec schließlich bereits stolzer Vater und seit mehr als 6 Jahren ganz allein für seinen Sohn Jeremy verantwortlich. Gemeinsam mit ihm bewohnt er ein kleines Einfamilienhaus das sie sich gemütlich eingerichtet haben und mithilfe der restlichen Verwandtschaft das Leben meistern. Manchmal hat es eben Vorteile, wenn man an seinem Geburtsort bleibt. Und daran wird Alec auch nicht allzu schnell etwas ändern, Chicago ist einfach seine absolute Traumstadt.
Wenn er unbedingt etwas an seinem Leben ändern müsste, dann eventuell die Tatsache, dass er augenblicklich Single ist. Aber in puncto Frauen war bisher eben noch nicht die Eine dabei und bis es einmal so weit ist, hat er ja zum Glück neben vielen anderen Menschen seinen besten Freund, mit dem er freie Tage verbringen und über alles Mögliche reden kann. Auf seine letzte große Beziehung sollte man ihn übrigens nicht unbedingt ansprechen. Seiner Exfreundin hat er es nämlich noch immer nicht zu hundert Prozent verziehen, dass sie damals einfach weggelaufen ist, als JJ seine Diagnose bekam und klar war, dass er keine Kindheit wie die meisten Kinder haben würde. Dementsprechend wenig spricht er auch mit seinem Sohn über dessen Mutter, auch wenn der Kleine sie vermisst und schon auf mehr als einem Wunschzettel gestanden hat, dass sie doch einfach zurückkommen soll. Und auch wenn er alles für seinen Sohn tun würde, diesen einen Wunsch würde er ihm wohl auch dann nicht erfüllen, wenn er es könnte. Zu groß ist die Angst, dass JJ und er wieder verletzt und verlassen werden würden.
